Joe is growing like weed as you can clearly see and he is such a happy, good spirited little guy. He is currently going through another growth spurt and is sleeping and eating a ton. We estimate he weighs around 15 lbs. We have no idea exactly how long he is but when I hold him against me his body stretches half the length of mine - he's long! He still has torticollis. It's so wierd because it comes and goes and even switches sides. We're still going to therapy in hopes it will clear up soon. He loves to get out, look around at everything and his most favorite to look at is by far big brother Jack. Jack still doesn't pay any attention to Joe but we're hoping Joe can win Jack over very soon. If Jack sees us holding Joe he won't come anywhere near us. Jack is a little jealous so we try to give him special attention as much as we can. It's so sad how fast they grow up. Joe is 3 months old now and that is just unbelievable!

Dallas Aquarium
This is the way Joe saw the Aquarium. He loves sitting this way in his sling so he can see everything all the big people see. I even fed him while we walked around like this! We brought Grandpa with us and we all had lots of fun. Grandpa was a big help with Jack and even came in handy later when Joe needed a burp. :)
Grandpa, Jack, Mommy and Joe in the shark tunnel. It's lit by natural light and we went to early in the day for good light. We could only see one shark since the tank was so dark - bummer! By looking at the picture it's obvious Jack did see that lone shark and he's very dramatically pointing him out.Jack checkin' out the chillin' penguins. He recently saw "Surfs Up" - his first movie. We told him these penguins don't surf.
Jack worked up quite an appetite after the Aquarium but fell asleep on the way home before he could eat so he scarfed it down as soon as we got home.
Sweet Jack is sharing his sesame street crackers with his new shark he got as a souvenir from the Aquarium. He is fascinated with the shark's teeth. This particular shark is inflatable and is meant to float in the pool or bathtub with him. He likes his shark very much and has been carrying him around since he got him. He also likes to keep sharky at the table with him when he eats.
Happy Birthday to Brent
We celebrated Brent's 31st Bday with my family the Sunday following his real Bday (July 11th). Brent requested sausage, corn souffle, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes and gravy, and broccoli cheese casserole! All this coming from the guy whose standard answer to most questions of preference is "I don't care, whatever you want". I told him it wasn't Thanksgiving but apparently I am seriously falling behind on my cooking duties - my dear husband is starving to death. My mom also made Brent's mother's famous Rum Cake for his Bday cake. Sally, it was ALMOST as good as yours!
The night before Brent and I got to go on a date to dinner and a movie which was really great. The boys and I gave him a fancy new Cuisinart Coffee Maker since he LOVES his coffee. All in all it was a nice Birthday marathon for Brent.

Fancy Duds Joe
Our little man Joe all dressed up for church. He's growing up too fast and is getting so big. I think he weighs about 14 lbs now. He is such a good boy, so sweet and easy going. He still has torticollis. For a while we thought it was better but it seems to have kicked back in. We're not quite sure what we're going to do since the physical therapy and home stretching don't seem to be making a lot of difference. We'll keep you updated and hopefully it will resolve soon.

4th of July
Sadly, we were not able to make our annual trip to Indiana this year for the 4th of July. Every year we go to Brent's hometown Greensburg, Indiana and the whole family (and town!) go to the Greensburg Parade. We all get dressed up in our red, white and blue, we decorate the strollers and wagons and we walk in the parade with the kiddos. It's so much fun! After dark, all the guys put on a fireworks show in the backyard and we light up a ton of sparklers. Don't worry, there are no neighbors for miles. This year we went to the Arlington Parade in downtown Arlington, TX where we live. My mom came with us and it was actually a pretty impressive parade. There were about 150 entrants and it lasted almost 2 hours. It's been raining for weeks here but this morning it was beautiful. We got a great spot in the shade and there was a grassy area for Jack to run around in. Joe pretty much slept through it but woke up each time one of the five local high school bands marched by. Jack's favorite part was the Six Flags float with the Looney Tunes characters and Brent's favorite part was the Dallas Cowboys float with the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders.
